Ticks are bad news. And bad news travels fast. Is your dog protected?
Come and visit our Big Tick Project tick tent at this year’s Dog Fest. Our team, including vets and vet nurses will be on hand to answer any questions you may have about protecting your pet from ticks, the appropriate protection to use and how to remove ticks.
On 17th June in Cheshire and 25th June in Hertfordshire, Chris Packham will be joining our team to provide short talks on the threats from ticks throughout the day!
In conjunction with University of Bristol, the Big Tick team have been researching the prevalence of ticks and the disease pathogens ticks carry. The research conducted found:
Of dogs participating in the study almost 1 in 3 dogs had ticks
All dogs are equally susceptible, breed nor age make a difference.
